Synopsis: “We want to love life in all its fullness: everything that is part of it; and cinema, one of its facets, allows us to live our imagination; it allows us to multiply our experience, and therefore life. We want, therefore, for this fiction to alarm us and put us on guard so that it never happens.”

Film shot in 1983
This film was made in Ponferrada and the surrounding area, Otero (Church of Santa María de Vizbayo), Mount Pajariel, Lake Carucedo, and the Bárcena Dam, as a complementary workshop to the Open School and Cinema educational experience, according to a project developed by the teaching staff of the La Borreca Teacher Training Center. It is a loose adaptation of Lord of the Flies by William Golding, the British writer who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1983.
The Valentín García Yebra Municipal Library, as part of its project to promote, recover, conserve, digitize, and enhance the value of Ponferrada’s audiovisual heritage, has digitized and reviewed the film’s condition for its screening at the Festival.
