‘Twelve-chapter documentary about the border between Spain and Portugal, produced by Los Films del Buho S.L for RTVE and shot from 1988 to 1990. It was written and directed by Jose A. Courel (Ponferrada) and José Luis M. Carneiro (Ourense). It was released in August 1992 on Channel two on Spanish TV and broadcasted several times by History Channel and Classic Channel in Spain and abroad. From La Guardia/Caminha to Ayamonte/Vila Real de Santo Antonio, the documentary deals with a few aspects of the multiculturalism of the border. It is a place united by poverty and depopulation, but it also has some gorgeous touches of the cultural and human heritage of the areas located along two hundred frontier kilometers. It is an intense work shot with a 16mm AGFA film. The soundtrack of the movie and its edition have been done at Cinearte Estudios in Madrid’.
