Synopsis: ‘A good teacher can change a child’s life for good. A School can alter the life of a Community. Education can change a country. Shot in Cameroon, China, and Spain, ‘The Other Education’ deepens in the lives of several children with different family environments and educational contexts: It shows the sociocultural contrast of the various generations in the same Chinese family. In the same way, it lets us see the life of some mothers in Cameroon who give everything for their sons and daughters to be able to go to School. Finally, the experience and learning of children who have overcome Motor Neuron Disease and the life of a French family, who educates their sons in the not very popular Homeschooling system. These stories seem to be unrelated at first sight, but they do share something: all of them show different ways of education out of the formal classrooms.’
