Synopsis: ‘This is Hadijatou Mani’s story, the first woman who sued the State government in Niger. In 2008 the tribunal of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) sentenced the Government in Niger for having tolerated the sale of a little girl for forced labor and sexual violence. This historical fact marks a milestone in the fight against slavery in the 21st century.’
